Neal

Neal was born in Changsha, China, in 1994 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in 2016 under the supervision of Prof. Bin Tan and Prof. Xin-Yuan Liu.

He then relocated to the US and obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry at University of Connecticut in 2021 under the guidance of Prof. Gaël Ung. Subsequently, he moved to San Diego for a postdoctoral training at Scripps Research, where he worked with Prof. Donna G. Blackmond and Prof. Philip E. Dawson.

Outside the laboratory, Neal enjoys traveling, hiking, and photography.

尼尔1994年出生于中国湖南省长沙市。他于2016年在南方科技大学完成本科学业，师从陈斌教授和刘新元教授，开始了他的化学之旅。随后，他于 2021 年在康涅狄格大学获得博士学位，师从 Gaël Ung 教授，目前在 Scripps Research 与 Donna G. Blackmond 教授一起进行博士后研究。他的研究兴趣集中在开发有机催化不对称反应、探索手性发光以及发现益生元环境中生物同手性的潜在机制。
