Min Neal Deng

Neal was born in Changsha, Hunan Province, China in 1994. He completed undergrad at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), where he started his journey of chemistry with Prof. Bin Tan & Prof. Xin-Yuan Liu. He then obtained his Ph.D. at the University of Connecticut guided by Prof. Gaël Ung, and is currently conducting postdoctoral research at Scripps Research with Prof. Donna G. Blackmond. His research interest has been focusing on studying organocatalytic asymmetric reactions, exploring chiral  luminescence, and discovering potential mechanisms of biological homochirality in prebiotic context.
